About Us

Grant Thornton República Dominicana was created as a result of a merger between Valcorp, S.A. and Grant Thornton & Asociados.  Valcorp, S. A., a consulting firm founded in 1992, offered clients advisory services in related to financial, managerial and economic decisions.  Conversely, Grant Thornton & Asociados was founded in 1984 to provide audit and tax services.

In 2001, we adopted Grant Thornton República Dominicana as our new corporate name and we proceeded to merge all business service lines under one entity.  This decision allowed us to provide our clients a wider range of services and to access our international organization with more than 500 offices in more than 100 countries.
