Was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Holds a Certified Public Accountants degree and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the “Instituto de Estudios Empresariales de Montevideo (IEEM).
He has worked as an Auditor since 1991, developing his professional trajectory as a Partner of the Firm in Uruguay, until October, 2008. Since 2004, he is a member of the Quality Reviewing Team of Grant Thornton International, Ltd., leading quality and performance reviews of Grant Thornton firms in various countries such as: Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Spain, Guatemala, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Nicaragua and Peru, among others.
As a university lecturer, he has taught courses at the “Universidad de la República Oriental de Uruguay” in the following subjects: Audit, Internal Control, and Bank Accounting. In addition, he has taught courses on the International Norms of Financial Intermediation to local and multinational companies in Uruguay and Grant Thornton firms in Latin America.
Following a successful career in Grant Thornton Uruguay, he joined Grant Thornton República Dominicana as a Partner in October, 2008.
